Sara Pinckney
Team leader, lived in color specialist, stylist, extension master, educator, business coach, and transformation specialist.
Sara began her journey in the hair and beauty industry in 2009, when she enrolled at the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology. Upon graduating she began an advanced training program at The Joe Hamer Salon, eventually working her way to a master cutting and color specialist.
From there she settled and created roots at Miller and Mane Salon in Mill Valley. Being apart of the brand and team for 6 years, she helped to spearhead the development of their education program along with providing beautiful custom hair services to her loyal, loving clientele.
In 2020 she spread her wings and opened the Manes by Sara salon location in the heart of downtown Mill Valley. A sanctuary and space for creativity to flow, and for others to grow and share their love of all things hair.
Throughout her career and growth as a stylist; Sara became aware of the importance of fostering connection and relationships with clients, and bringing that to the forefront of education programs for stylists. It is more than just technical skill, it's the experience and overall feel that a stylist brings to each guest. This is something that Sara brings to the forefront of her teaching style and daily life behind the chair.
Sara was previously on the team of Goldwell Artists for 5+ years and is a certified Goldwell Master Colorist. In addition to being a transformation specialist, Sara has been an extension artist for 8+ years and is certified in Great Lengths. Clients from all over the Bay Area know and love Sara for her dedication and deep love for her signature blondes, lived in textured haircuts and effortless beautiful styles.

Rachel Schuman
Hair Stylist & Color Specialist
Rachel began her journey in the beauty industry in 2010, when she enrolled at the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology, a Paul Mitchell Partner School. After graduating with honors, she began her assistant and advanced training program at The Joe Hamer Salon in Petaluma. While working her way to the position of senior cutting and coloring specialist, she joined the Joe Hamer team at their second location in the charming city of Mill Valley.
From there, she continued to grow her skills and clientele in Marin County, working as an independent contractor in Sausalito, then joining the team at Miller and Mane Salon in Mill Valley in 2017. While there, she challenged herself to greatly expand upon her skills as a colorist, learning to perfect the art of effortless, lived-in, dimensional color. Rachel combines her love of education and product knowledge to coach her guests, giving them the tools to re-create their desired styles at home. She is incredibly passionate about guest experience, and strives to deliver the utmost individual care and attention to detail during each visit.
In 2018, while maintaining her successful career behind the chair, Rachel made the decision to return to school as a Psychology major. Fascinated with human behavior from a very young age, she was eager to better understand and explore the ways in which events and environments shape the psyche. Her passion for her chosen field of study has enabled her to better combine technical skill with the ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with her intelligent, loving, and dedicated clientele.
In 2020, Rachel joined the team at Manes by Sara, where she continues to grow both professionally and creatively in the incredibly unique and special environment it offers. Clients and stylists alike know Rachel for her dedication to cultivating a beautiful guest experience from consultation to final reveal, as she works to create a unique, signature style for each individual she works with.
Jordan Lundberg
Mane Assistant
Jordan, born and raised in Sonoma County, has aspired to be a hair stylist since day one. After graduating high school in 2021, she jumped right into cosmetology school in San Francisco. Upon graduation, Jordan joined the team as an assistant at Manes by Sara.
Since graduating school, Jordan has continued to build her skills behind the chair and continues to learn each day from Sara and the incredibly talented team of stylists. She is currently working in the salon daily, mastering her blow drying and styling, while harnessing her longer term goal of specializing in color and extensions.
Outside of the salon, Jordan spends her days with friends and family. She loves exploring new places, trying fun foods, and meeting new people! When summer comes around you can find Jordan at the beach or singing her heart out at a country music concert.
Lisa Gordon
With 35 years of experience in the beauty industry, Lisa is a seasoned veteran.
Being an artist and connecting with people inspire her, and education is her passion! She began her career training under Martin Parsons in Toronto Canada. She established her business in Cincinnati, Ohio before becoming a corporate trainer over 350 salons. Her journey led her to Denver, Colorado, where she trained for renowned brands like Redken, Paul Mitchell, Wella, Schwarzkopf, and L’Oréal Professional . In 2014 her dream of opening her own salon became reality with the establishment of F.u.e.l. Salon & Spa in Denver.
She now has 2 locations and continues to love sharing her passion for the industry . She recently moved to Marin county with her husband to fulfill another dream of living in the Bay Area. Building connections with her community while sharing her skills behind the chair keeps her drive growing. Lisa prioritizes building strong relationships with each of her clients, putting their needs first. She understands the value of time and takes pride in her speed, attention to detail, and flexibility for the client. Lisa looks forward to creating a personalized look just for you and giving you an amazing experience.
Danielle Cooper
Danielle was born and raised in Marin County. After graduating high school she moved to Santa Barbara and began her journey in the hair industry while she attended the Paul Mitchell School of Cosmetology. Upon graduating in 2015, Danielle found herself back in Marin County, where she joined the team at Miller and Mane salon, and became a color specialist.
In 2019 Danielle welcomed her first son to the world and in 2020 helped Sara in getting Manes by Sara up and running. Shortly thereafter, Danielle made the choice to become a full time mom and grow her family. After 3 years, Danielle is back with the team at Manes by Sara as the salon Coordinator. Danielle is a huge part of the daily operations at the salon and you all know and love her for her bubbly personality and joyous smile.
When Danielle is not at the salon, you can find her in Sonoma County exploring with her husband and 2 boys, and soaking up all of those precious family moments.
